This world map is created using the "Forest/Non-Forest Map" forest distribution data derived from observations by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)'s Advanced Land Observing Satellite "DAICHI" (ALOS). By visualizing annual data from 2017 to 2020 as world maps, viewers can perceive environmental changes such as global warming and biodiversity loss that our planet faces.
